Car AC compressor diagnostic with refrigerant gauges in Las Vegas

Why It Matters

Your AC Fails in Vegas, You Feel It in Minutes

Las Vegas averages 70 days above 105°F every year. Inside a car without AC, cabin temperatures hit 140°F in under 20 minutes. That's not discomfort. That's a safety hazard for you, your passengers, and your pets.

Most car AC failures come down to refrigerant leaks, worn compressors, or failed condensers. These are repairs we handle in your driveway, parking lot, or office. No tow truck. No shop. No rearranging your day.

Common AC & Cooling Problems We Fix

Vegas heat puts extreme stress on your vehicle's cooling system. Components that last 8 years in mild climates fail in 4 here. These are the AC and cooling issues we see most across Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas.

01

AC Recharge & Refrigerant Leak Repair

The most common AC complaint: "it blows, but it's not cold." Low refrigerant is almost always the cause, and low refrigerant means a leak somewhere in the system. We locate the leak with UV dye testing, repair or replace the failed component (O-rings, hoses, condenser, evaporator), evacuate the system, and recharge to manufacturer spec. A proper recharge includes measuring subcooling and superheat, not just "filling it until it feels cold."

02

AC Compressor Replacement

If the compressor clutch won't engage, the compressor makes grinding or squealing noises, or the system has full charge but zero cooling, the compressor has failed. We replace the compressor, receiver/drier, and expansion valve as a set (replacing just the compressor sends metal debris through the new unit). Most compressor replacements are completed same-day in your driveway.

03

Condenser & Evaporator Repair

The condenser sits behind the grille and takes road debris hits constantly. Evaporators develop pinhole leaks from acid buildup in older systems. Both cause slow refrigerant loss. We diagnose which component is leaking, replace it, flush the system, and recharge. If your AC slowly loses cooling over a few weeks, this is likely the cause.

04

Radiator & Cooling System Service

Your engine's cooling system works harder in Vegas than almost anywhere in the country. Radiator leaks, failed thermostats, blown hoses, and coolant that's lost its protective properties all lead to overheating. We handle radiator replacement, coolant flush and fill, thermostat replacement, water pump repair, and hose replacement. If your temperature gauge is creeping up, call before you end up on the shoulder of I-15.

05

Blower Motor & Climate Control

If no air comes from the vents at all, or only works on certain fan speeds, the blower motor or resistor has failed. If air comes out but won't switch between hot and cold, the blend door actuator is stuck. These are common failures in Vegas due to the constant AC demand. We diagnose and replace blower motors, resistors, and blend door actuators on-site.

AC & Cooling Repair FAQ

AC repair costs depend on the problem. A simple recharge with leak check runs $150 to $250. Compressor replacement is typically $500 to $900 depending on the vehicle. Condenser replacement runs $300 to $600. We give you the exact price before starting any work, and our mobile rates are competitive with shop prices because we don't carry the overhead of a brick-and-mortar location.
Yes. Most AC repairs don't require a lift. Recharges, compressor replacements, condenser swaps, hose repairs, and electrical diagnostics are all done on-site. We just need a flat, accessible surface where the vehicle is parked. Your driveway, apartment parking lot, office parking, or even a grocery store lot works fine.
The most common cause is low refrigerant from a leak. Other causes include a failed compressor clutch, clogged condenser, bad expansion valve, or electrical issue (blown fuse, bad relay, faulty pressure switch). In Vegas, extreme heat accelerates wear on seals and hoses that cause refrigerant leaks. We diagnose the exact cause on-site with pressure testing and electrical checks.
In Las Vegas, coolant degrades faster than the factory schedule suggests. Most manufacturers recommend every 30,000 miles or 5 years, but we recommend every 24,000 miles or 3 years in Vegas due to the extreme heat cycles. Old coolant loses its corrosion protection and can damage the water pump, heater core, and radiator internals. A coolant flush is cheap insurance against an overheating repair that costs 10x more.
Yes. Stop driving immediately (continued driving with an overheating engine causes catastrophic damage) and call us. We'll come to wherever you are, diagnose the cause (low coolant, failed thermostat, blown hose, bad water pump, radiator leak), and fix it on-site if possible. If the engine has overheated severely, we'll do a compression test to check for head gasket damage before recommending the next step.
Yes. We cover Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, Paradise, and all surrounding Clark County communities. Same-day AC service is available throughout our entire coverage area.
